Ok, I know you are very stressed and worried about your oral exam you are just about to do, but, is it really so difficult that you have to be so worried about it? About five hours ago I was just as worried as you. Here, I’ll show you how to control yourself.
At first, I was frightened about it and while waiting for my turn I was rather nervous. If that wasn’t enough, my partner hadn’t arrived yet. My English teacher was waiting with me, and advised me to breathe deeply, think about other things and be confident about myself. If I were you I’d do the same, because it really helped me. If that is not enough I would recommend you to practise a little bit with your partner. Finally, he came just in time to start the test and I was quite relaxed. Once I entered the room and greeted the examiners I felt quite comfortable and did my best. Then, when you are relaxed and confident doing the speaking everything goes better.
Finally, when you get out of the room of the exam, you feel very relieved and if you did well quite happy. In conclusion the most important thing in an oral exam, apart from speaking fluently, is to be relaxed and confident about yourself. Good luck!
It was created in India during the Gupta empire, approximately in the 6th Century AD. That first “chess” was called Chaturanga and it was a four-player board game. In 711 AD when the islamic people conquered Spain they introduced chess in Europe.
The first writing text dates from 6000 BC and is called Dispilio Tablet.
The Mesopotamian people in 4000 BC wrote in cuneiform writing. They wrote with a triangular-shaped tool. The mesopotamian language was the Akkadian, so they wrote in Akkadian, but in Mesopotamian a lot of cultures lived, like Hurrians and Hittites, but the official texts, were written in Akkadian.

The second oldest one is Linear A, which was created in Kea, Kythera, Melos, Thera and Laconia, and it was used between 1450 BC and 18 century. The “newest” one is called Linear B and it was created in Knossos,Pylos, Mycenae, Thebes, Tiryns, and it was used between 1375-1200 BC.
In Egypt, is the earliest hieroglyphic in the world, the hieroglyphicscript was included an effectivealphabet. The oldest alphabet was found in Sinai desert and it was written on a tortoise shell, it has around of 30 inscriptions.
I chose the theme of “The history of the writing” because it´s interesting, to know how 5000 years ago people wrote and communicated.

MOULIN ROUGE – A COMPELLING AND MEMORABLE FILM
Moulin Rouge is an exhilarating ‘Jukebox musical’ filmed in 2001. It was directed, produced and co-written by Baz Luhrmann. The main actors are Nicole Kidman and Ewan Mc Gregor, who play the roles of Satine and Christian.
The film is set in Paris in 1899, and it tells the story of Christian, who wants to become a writer among the Bohemian culture, and Satine, a cabaret dancer. At first, Satine doesn´t want to spend time with Christian, since she only loves rich men. However, by the time he starts talking to her, she realizes how wonderful he is, so she falls in love with him. When everything seems to go well, Satine discovers she suffers from Tuberculosis, but she doesn´t tell Christian.
Despite the fact that it was set a long time ago, we think it is one of the best films ever, as it contains the right amount of songs and love that all films must have.We would recommend it to anyone that likes this kind of film.
People have always thought that sports are extremely important, especially at shool. However, not all the people think the same so there are arguments for and against.
On the one hand, as all people know it’s important to be fit, because you will feel better and also look better. Furthermore, and this is extremely important for students and especially for teenagers, it is important to do a lot of sport such as: basketball, football, rugby etc. This will help you to relax and to do activities like: sleep and study.
On the other hand, some students just don’t enjoy doing or playing sports, so they don’t do it. In addition, sometimes, doing so much sport is bad because if you have an exam next day and you don’t know it very well, you also have to go to your sport training, and this may affect your academic studies.
On the whole, it’s always important that people, students or teenagers do sport, minimum two days a week, which will help you to do other tasks.
I chose this song because I like it a lot and because it says lovely things about being all together. However, It’s little bit too nationalist. I really like this song and it is one of my favourite songs that are not in English, Spanish or French. Well there are bits in French but they are really short. The song is in Flemish and speaks about Belgium, a little country between France and Netherlands.
Long Live Belgium – By Clauseau
Today, if you can spare a moment, I will decide about north and south. Today I'll raise the flag, in a hurry because the train is derailing between south and north. We have a beautiful past, even when we speak a different language. We share the most beautiful country and in our heart it is just one story.
We are all the same, because we are all Belgians. Yes, I love you, our secret is Flemish and Walloons in the same country. In this small country, our Belgianland, Flemish and Walloons stand on the same side.
For sure this can't disappear,I love Belgium.
Today we stand side to side and take the differences on the side [= as a side-dish] Today the unity stands strong, we are united, that is not retarded. We share the same passion, we live the same dream. I think the Lion of Flanders and the Rooster of Wallonia stand stronger together.
We are all the same because we are all Belgians. Yes, I love you, our secret is Flemish and Walloons in the same country.
In this small country, our Belgianland, Flemish and Walloons stand on the same side.
For sure this can't dissapear for I love Belgium.
Oh, long live Belgium!. Oh, oh, owowowo
We are all the same because we are all Belgians Yes, I love you, our secret is Flemish and Walloons in the same country In this small country, our Belgianland, Flemish and Walloons stand on the same side For sure this can't disappear,I love Belgium So, give me our little country: Belgium!
The words that are like this is because is French, the rest is in Flemish.
If you don’t understand it is probably you don’t know that in Belgium it is really REALLY different the North from the South. In the South they are like one district more of France, whereas on the North they are more like the Netherlands. The difference is huge and some people want to split Belgium in two.
Last Saturday, I did the First Certificate Exam. I was really nervous and that was, why funny and annoying things at the same time, happened to me.
It only was a simple detail, which started my story, I didn’t set the alarm clock. I woke up at 8:15 am and I had to be there at 8:30. That morning, I was running late, I didn’t even have breakfast, I got dressed and I rushed to the Hotel. But by the time I got there I realised to my utter horror, that I’d left my Confirmation of entrie at home! As you can imagine, I didn’t have any time to go back home and when I went into the exam room I was shaking like a leaf. Luckily, the examiner let me in because I had my ID card.
When I calmed down and focused on the reading paper, two of the candidates were disqualified because they were caught cheating. This, only made me feel more nervous. After the short break, we had the Use of English and thankfully everything went fine although it was a little bit difficult. In the writing, however, I messed up with the instructions and ended up doing task five, which was the only one our teacher had advised us not to do it. It a review of a book that I haden’t even read, I just made it up as I didn’t remember we weren’t supposed to do it. My classmates laughed at me at the break.
But this wasn’t all, in the listening part, I forgot to turn off my mobile phone and it rang. Everyone started staring at me, and we had to repeat one part of the listening.
However, the examiner felt sorry for me and I wasn’t disqualified.
Overall, it was one of the worst experiences of my life, but the exam went alright. Next time, I will remember to set my alarm clock properly.
