Since I started preparing for the First certificate I thought it would not only be a challenge but I even had doubts about failing the exam. Everyone, including me , thought the exam was much easier than what we thought due to the fact that many of the parts were much simpler than the ones we did in class.
The day of the exam arrived, and I was not nervous at all although I stayed up late reviewing my notes about writing. I headed down to the exam room and the exam flew by very fast. Once finished I felt totally confident about my performance.
However I was one of the lucky ones who did the exam well because a lot of people thought it was very hard, one funny fact was that someone chose the Book Review when he hadn’t even read it.
Finally I had my speaking exam, I was very confident that it was going to turn out well but once I was talking I got stuck in many parts. For those people who are about to do the FCE, do not hesitate, it´s an easy exam that seems a lot harder.
